Ellie
This marks my very first attempt at portrait drawing. Ellie's untimely departure deeply moved me, prompting me to create this portrait in secret for her grandmother. Today, it stands as a cherished family heirloom, a poignant tribute to Ellie's memory. Medium: Graphite pencil.

My second endeavor portrays a dear friend who has passed away. It required 40 hours of meticulous effort to bring to fruition. This piece presented unique challenges, as it was my first time depicting food, glass cups, and intricate clothing details. I was pleasantly surprised by the resilience of the paper under my eraser's touch. Knowing the family's affinity for angels, I incorporated an angelic figure into the background as a symbol of comfort and hope. Upon completion, I delivered the finished work to Baba's Daughter.

My third endeavor captures the essence of my best female friend's mother. It marks my initial attempt into portraying darker skin tones. Overall, I'm pleased with the result. I particularly enjoyed capturing the intricate details of her glasses and hat. Working on her hair was a great experience, allowing me to explore textures.

Surprisingly, clothing presents its own set of challenges, comparable to capturing the likeness and expression of the subject. Each drawing presents a unique set of hurdles to navigate. I found joy in capturing the likeness of the face in this piece. It's a constant journey of growth and discovery, and I cherish the opportunity to tackle these challenges head-on.

restore
This portrait serves as a restoration of an original photograph taken many years ago. Drawing it provided me with the opportunity to recreate lost details, breathing new life into cherished memories. However, it's essential to note that restoration isn't always possible and is contingent upon the quality of the original photograph.

It might come as a surprise, but the highlight of this portrait for me is the hand. It marks a pivotal moment in my artistic journey—a juncture where I delved into refining techniques for achieving smoother skin textures and conveying subtle expressions. In this piece, I began to explore the intricacies of capturing softness and depth in facial features.

Introducing my first rendition of ringlets—a venture that allowed me to delve deeper into the art of shading, contrast, and tone. However, what truly excites me about this piece is the texture of the hair. With meticulous attention to detail, I poured my efforts into bringing the curls to life, reveling in the challenge of capturing their dynamic texture and form.

Presenting one of my latest creations. In this piece, I focused on skin texture, delicate freckles, and a myriad of fine details. I'm thrilled with the outcome of this endeavor. remember
This portrait holds a profound significance for me. It portrays a tender moment between a beloved grandmother and her grandson, a poignant reminder of the preciousness of life. Tragically, the little boy's journey was cut short by a brain tumor, lending even greater weight to the memory captured in this piece. Driven by compassion, I poured extra effort into this portrait, striving to honor the bond shared between grandmother and grandson. Every stroke of the pencil was infused with care and dedication, as I captured their connection with as much perfection as possible.
