You Must Die in Order To Live

The journey into freedom can be bloody, (Jesus bled, are you greater than your master) it can be excruciatingly painful, it’s expensive and will cost you everything! You will have to be willing to suffer and die a thousand deaths. Yes, death must become your friend, your best friend.

“Choose!” It says! The irony of it all, that you must choose death in order to live. Will you die! Will you let go of all that makes sense to you, the false reality overlay that is predictable for the unknown?

Will you let go of everything you think will make you happy for the unknowable future that Jesus has for you?

Do you trust Him? Will you trust Him .............................Faith............................

The year of death, becoming a master of death to self. Understanding this is the key to great things. To the more of God. Give up every want or desire into His hands and let Him choose. Will He breathe life on it or burn it. If He burns it, you can rest assured He will give you something far greater. ............Trust.....Faith.....Hope................

Take up your cross daily reveals you will have something to die to every day until you are released from your flesh, embrace death!!! It’s worth it. Let the sword come! Provide a clear path for it to make it’s mark. It will always create pain, so embrace pain, make it your lover. Your pain will match the level of significance you placed on your desire. The greater the intensity of your desire, the greater pain you must suffer at its death. So deal with the significance if you can. Death initially brings loss or emptiness, Christ will fill this void with life if you’ll trust Him. Will you trust Him?

Every time you die, God will heal you and give you time to recover from your injuries. This should be a time of reflection, meditation and sitting under the tutoring of The Holy Spirit. What did you learn from it? And here is a question to stretch you, ask yourself, is (fill in the blank) the best there is for your life , or is there more? This unknowable more that only Christ sees and has for you. If you think you will die if you don’t have something or someone, this is the indicator that you MUST die to it. It owns you and controls all the decisions of your life. You live for it and serve it. You will bow down and do what ever it requires of you to keep it. Die! Make your only desire be to love Jesus and do all that is required to keep Him! He is enough! He will reveal to you that He can and will satisfy your true needs. He created you. He knows what makes you tic. He knows what will excite you and give you joy. Open your hands and let Him have all that you hold onto and let Him put into your hands all that He desires. Will you trust Him? You will never out give Him. Even if you die to yourself 1000x a day, you will never die to more than He will give life to.

Die! Let Him resurrect you!! Each time He will resurrect you into someone new!! How exciting! To be made new moment by moment, day by day!! You are a master piece in His hands, but you must die! The clay is dead, it has no voice, no desire, it seeks nothing , wants nothing and is fully surrendered to His creative hands. Die! The pen in the writers hand is fully surrendered, it only writes what is asked of it, if it was to do its own thing while the master was trying to write then nothing better than Scribble could be discerned. ..........................Abide...............................

Are you afraid? Test Him. Test His love for you and see for yourself that He is faithful and true. Be patient as many times His gifts come in seed form and take time to become visible and bear their fruit. But the fruit will come!!
